Batteries and Magnets, do you know their real danger? 👀
✍️in literature (PubMed) there are unfortunately many articles that deal with the topic. I have brought you two excerpts.
I find myself writing this post after speaking with the Financial Police regarding a toy recall.
The toy in question had magnets that could detach and if ingested could cause very serious harm to the child.
The company reported the defect as soon as the danger was identified. Unfortunately, in my opinion, communication is not that effective.
It has not reached all parents who might purchase the product even from unscrupulous traders. And I confirm that unfortunately there are.
When choosing a product for your child, pay maximum attention to:
⚠️CE mark present Always under 14 years (I will never get tired of saying it). The CE mark alone is not sufficient if the following items are not also satisfied:
⚠️Presence of batteries 🪫and their housing:
they must be closed with a screw and the plastic that houses them must be sturdy and not break if it is thrown to the ground
(which unfortunately happened)
⚠️Presence of magnets 🧲 and their housing:
They must not be accessible in any way by a child.
Check the Ministry of Health website periodically
